Oh, Camden…6/29/13 (2nd nite) Still on my cloud!!!!!
Wish I had some video!!!!!
It was a terrific concert from beginning to end. The opener of “Dreamgirl” was a pleasant surprise, as was “Joyride”, one of my favorite songs that DMB has never released on an official album, and a song they originally debuted on their 2004 tour. In addition, DMB played some other non-studio recorded songs, “JTR” and “Help Myself”, which sounded really good.
Other impressive songs for me included a brilliant version of “Crush”, an excellent cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Good Times Bad Times”, the classic “So Much to Say”, and a well-played version of “Drunken Soldier” taken from their Away from the World album.
However, probably the best version of “Typical Situation” I ever heard and saw the best moment of the night for me. There was an outstanding jam in the middle of that song that was just awesome! DMB would play the classic “Ants Marching” which led right into the haunting “Halloween” to end the set!
The encore began with a reprise of “Lie in Our Graves”, “a very good version of “Pig” and an absolute jamming “Two Step” was the fantastic ending to this Saturday night! Overall, this was another superb performance by DMB and one of my favorite concerts by them of all time.
