Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds, along with Bruce Springsteen, John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, Ben Harper, Tim McGraw and others, are featured on a new soundtrack entitled By The People: For The People: A Soundtrack Inspired by the Motion Picture By The People: The Election Of Barack Obama. The digital-only album was inspired by the HBO documentary chronicling the candidacy and election of Barack Obama and is now available on iTunes. All proceeds from the digital release, including artist and publishing royalties, will go to the United Way to support Gulf Coast rebuilding efforts in conjunction with the non-profit Enterprise Community Partners, Inc. By the People: For The People is a 13-song collection featuring Dave and Tim performing “The Dreaming Tree” and also includes a special bonus live video by Bruce Springsteen.
